Second Prize in Tbilisi
Second Prize (US$10,000) and the “Exceptional Virtuosity” special prize, awarded by the Embassy of the State of Israel in Georgia, at the VIII Tbilisi International Piano Competition, Tbilisi State Conservatoire, 5–16 October 2026.
At the VIII Tbilisi International Piano Competition, held at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire from 5 to 16 October 2026, Jiarui Cheng was awarded Second Prize (US$10,000) together with the “Exceptional Virtuosity” special prize, presented by the Embassy of the State of Israel in Georgia.
In Tbilisi, Cheng also appeared as concerto soloist with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra in Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The result was reported by Musical America, The Piano League and Yonhap News.
